How to load a sql dump into a new database (See related posts)

open up iterm

change to the directory with the sql dump you want to load

/usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql --user=root -p

create database mydatabasename default character set utf8;

use mydatabasename;

source mydatabasedump.sql;

show tables;
to mysql by benjamin1511 on Wed Aug 30 09:37:13 +0000 2006
